Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has been held out of practice most of the week with an ankle injury, but has said he will be on the field Sunday. Johnson saw some action in practice Friday and he felt as though he is good enough to give it a go, although the team is not as convinced enough to guarantee he will play until they see him around game time.
An AFC South division game will wrap up the season for both the Jaguars and the Titans, as they sit with 2-13 and 5-10 records respectively. One of those two wins for Jacksonville did come against the Titans back in week 12 though. Both teams will likely be in the top ten of the upcoming draft regardless of a win or a loss, so they want to fight it out together and show what they are made of in the final week of their season.
News has also surfaced that General Manager Gene Smith will be fired. Head coach Mike Mularkey will also be on the hot seat, as the new GM will have the chance to decide whether or not to retain him for the future.
Jake Locker will have one more chance this year to show the coaches he can be the guy. He has a solid core of young talent around him on offense so the franchise is counting on his progression this offseason.Tags: Chris Johnson, Football, Jake Locker, Mike Munchak, NFL, Tennessee, Tennessee Titans
